1. Function

Polar crane for Nuclear Power Station is used to handle the heavy equipments inside of nuclear island during the construction phase. It can lift the steam generator, the heaviest equipment, about 395t. During the operation phase, the crane is used for various handling task in the shutdown period. The main hook (190t) is use to lift the reactor pressure vessel closure (about 120t), reactor internals, main pump motor, bolt tensioner, rotor etc. The auxiliary hook (20t-5t) is used to lift light-load equipment.

2.   Components

Polar Crane consists bridge, 　rotary mechanism, guiding roller, operation trolley (190t/20t), XY direction service trolley (5t), central arch , power supply unit, cabin, circular rail, rail girder, auxiliary structure, seismic device, electrical control etc.
