Taiyuan Heavy Industry Co., Ltd (TYHI) was established in 1950. It is the first heavy machinery manufacturing enterprise designed and built by itself since e founding of new China, one of 500 largest industrial enterprises in China, one of 50 largest industrial enterprises in the machine-building industry in China and the state’s superlarge key enterprise.  

TYHI is well-known both at home and abroad for becoming the first listed company in China’s machine –building industry in 1998.It is one of the most renowned heavy machine manufacturing traders, the largest crane manufacturing base, the largest oil film bearing manufacturing base or heavy-duty rolling mills, the largest plate leveler (tube straightner) manufacturing base, the largest multifunctional rotating stage manufacturing base, unique train wheel and axle pair manufacturing base and the forging equipment manufacturing base with the most complete varieties in China.  

The product designed and produced by TYHI have been widely used in the sectors such as metallurgy, mine, hydropower, thermal power, nuclear power, energy, aviation, space flight, chemistry, railway, ship building, environmental protection, communication and transportation. A lot of items have filled the blanks of the state. Many products have won the gold medals for state quality product. It has created 340 China No.1 and world No.1 as well, known as “state's treasure” and “path breaker of national economy”. The machine products have been exported to more than 20 counties and regions in the world.
